FAQS.
ANSWERS BEFORE YOU START.
Every project begins with the right information.
These FAQs explain how we review enquiries, quotations, materials, timelines, site requirements, repairs, upholstery, payment methods, and delivery before work begins.
If your question is not covered here, you may still contact us directly with photos, measurements, drawings, references, or item details.
01 / STARTING AN ENQUIRY.
How do I start an enquiry?
You may start by sharing photos, measurements, drawings, references, item details, or a short description of what you would like to make, repair, restore, or upholster.
What information should I prepare?
The most useful information includes the item type, size, location, current condition, preferred material or finish, intended use, timeline, budget range, and any reference images or drawings.
Can you quote from photo?
Photos help us provide an initial review, but final scope and pricing may change once the item, site, material, or production requirement is reviewed in more detail.
Do I need to visit the showroom?
Not always. Many enquiries can begin through photos, measurements, drawings, or references. A showroom visit may be useful if you would like to review materials, finishes, or discuss a more detailed brief.
Do you provide site inspection?
For projects within Klang Valley, a site inspection may be arranged if photos, drawings, or measurements are not sufficient to confirm the scope. An inspection fee will apply.
02 / BESPOKE & CUSTOM FURNITURE.
What is bespoke furniture?
Bespoke furniture is made around a specific brief, space, proportion, material direction, function, or design requirement.
Do I need drawings before enquiring?
No. For residential bespoke work, we can begin with photos, measurements, references, or a description of what you need.
For commercial or designer-led projects, drawings or 3D files are helpful. STEP files are preferred where 3D files are required.
Can you design the piece from scratch?
Yes. For residential bespoke work, we can help develop the piece through sketches, proportions, material direction, and visualisation where relevant.
Do you work with designers or commercial projects?
Yes. We work with designers, architects, cafés, hospitality spaces, offices, retail spaces, and commercial interiors where custom timber furniture or fixtures are required.
How is bespoke furniture different from cabinetry or built-ins?
Bespoke furniture is usually piece-led, such as a dining table, bed, console, cabinet, display piece, or loose furniture item.
Cabinetry, built-ins, and fittings are more site-led, meaning they are measured, fabricated, and installed around a wall, room, opening, or site condition.
03 / CABINETRY, BUILT-INS & FITTINGS.
What type of built-in work do you provide?
We can review wardrobes, TV wall units, storage cabinets, display cabinets, kitchen or pantry cabinetry, study cabinets, wall-mounted units, architraves, dividers, wall panels, trims, and installed timber fittings.
Do you need site measurements?
Yes. Built-in and fitted work depends on accurate measurements, wall condition, access, fixing method, and site readiness.
We can begin with photos or approximate measurements before advising whether a site review is required.
Can you work from drawings?
Yes. Drawings, measurements, references, or 3D files help us review the layout, dimensions, material direction, hardware, fixing method, and installation requirements more accurately.
Do you make architraves or timber trims?
Yes. We can review timber architraves, doorway trims, framed openings, wall panels, and fitted timber details according to the surrounding space and site condition.
What affects the cost of built-in work?
Cost depends on size, material, hardware, profile, finish, complexity, site condition, delivery, and installation requirements.
04 / REPAIRS, RESTORATION & REFURBISHMENT.
What is the difference between repair, restoration, and refurbishment?
A repair focuses on fixing damage or restoring function.
A restoration focuses on retaining the original character of the piece while improving its condition.
A refurbishment may involve a broader refresh, such as stripping, refinishing, colour adjustment, hardware review, or practical updates for continued use.
Can you restore the original colour?
Where possible, we can review the existing finish and advise whether the item can be refreshed, refinished, or brought closer to its original colour.
Can you change the colour or finish?
Yes, depending on the item, timber condition, existing finish, and desired outcome. Some pieces may be better suited to refreshing rather than a drastic colour change.
Do you repair broken or loose parts?
Yes. We can review loose joints, broken components, damaged drawers, unstable legs, worn surfaces, and missing parts before advising the repair scope.
Is every item suitable for restoration?
Not always. Some items may have severe structural damage, material failure, pest damage, or moisture damage that limits what can be repaired. We will advise after review.
05 / UPHOLSTERY.
Do you only work on old furniture?
No. Upholstery can be provided for both new productions and existing furniture pieces.
This may include new custom furniture, built-in cushions, upholstered panels, or reupholstery for existing seats and furniture.
What does your upholstery service cover?
Our upholstery work may include fabric, leather, faux leather, foam, cushions, seat covers, reupholstery, and selected wickering work where relevant.
Can I choose my own fabric or material?
Yes. You may share your preferred fabric, leather, faux leather, colour, texture, or reference direction. We can also review suitable options according to the item and intended use.
Do you replace foam or cushions?
Yes. Foam, padding, and cushion support can be reviewed depending on the item’s condition, comfort level, shape, and intended use.
Do you provide wickering?
Yes. Wickering can be reviewed for woven seats, backs, panels, and furniture pieces that require woven work.
This may apply to new productions or existing items, depending on the frame condition, weaving area, material suitability, and intended use.
Do you repair the timber frame as well?
If the timber frame, joints, or structure require work, we may advise repair or restoration before or alongside upholstery.
06 / MATERIALS, FINISHES & CARE.
What timber do you commonly use?
We commonly use solid timber such as Melunak and Merbau, depending on the item, intended use, design direction, and production requirement.
Do material choices affect pricing?
Yes. Timber, upholstery material, hardware, surface material, foam, finishing method, and detailing can all affect the final quotation.
Where can I learn more about your materials?
You may refer to our Materials page for more information on timber, finishes, upholstery materials, stone tops, veneer, laminate, foam, and cushioning.
07 / QUOTATION, PAYMENT, TIMELINE & DELIVERY.
Is every project quoted individually?
Yes. Each project is quoted according to scope, size, material, finish, complexity, parts required, quantity, delivery, and installation requirements.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit card, debit card, cash, online transfer, cheque, and instalment payment options of up to 60 months.
Instalment eligibility may be subject to the payment provider, card issuer, or bank approval.
Do you provide delivery or installation?
Delivery and installation requirements are reviewed according to the item, site location, access, size, installation condition, and confirmed project scope.
Can the final price change after review?
Yes. If the actual item condition, site condition, material requirement, damage level, or production scope is different from the initial information provided, the quotation may need to be revised.
Do you accept commercial or bulk work?
Yes. Commercial and quantity-based work can be reviewed according to drawings, quantity, material planning, production efficiency, timeline, and delivery or installation requirements.
