Commercial bespoke timber furniture by Kok Art and Craft in Kuala Lumpur.

COMMERCIAL
BESPOKE
FURNITURE.

FURNITURE MADE FOR

THE BUSINESS IT SERVES.

Commercial spaces need furniture that works beyond appearance.

A café table may need to support daily turnover. A counter may need to follow a specific service flow. A fixture, display piece, or repeated furniture unit may need to match the design intent, dimensions, and operational needs of the space.

Our commercial bespoke work is made around the brief, material direction, quantity, durability, and the way the space is used.

WHEN THE BRIEF REQUIRES A CUSTOM SOLUTION.

Bespoke work is suitable when a project requires furniture, fixtures, or timber elements made around a specific design, space, brand direction, quantity, or operational need.

01 / DESIGN INTENT.

For projects where furniture needs to follow a specific concept, drawing, reference, or interior direction.

02 / TECHNICAL FIT.

For spaces where dimensions, clearances, circulation, installation, or site conditions need to be considered.

03 / DAILY-USE DURABILITY.

For cafés, hospitality spaces, offices, retail spaces, and commercial interiors where furniture must support repeated use.

04 / QUANTITY-BASED WORK.

For projects that require multiple units, repeated forms, or batch production.

FROM BRIEF TO FINISHED WORK.

A commercial bespoke project may move through brief review, technical development, quotation, production, and delivery or installation — supported by drawings, 3D files, shop drawings, workshop progress, and final completion where relevant.

01

DISCOVERY.

We begin by reviewing the project brief, drawings, references, measurements, site requirements, quantity, and intended use.

02

DEVELOPMENT.

Where possible, clients should provide drawings or 3D files to support the development process. STEP files are preferred where 3D references are required. From there, we review dimensions, construction details, material direction, and production requirements.

03

QUOTATION.

We prepare an indicative quotation based on scope, quantity, material, complexity, finish, detailing, timeline, delivery, and installation requirements. For repeated units or larger quantities, pricing may be reviewed according to MOQ, material planning, and production efficiency.

04

CRAFTING.

The work is produced in the workshop according to the confirmed brief, drawings, material direction, construction details, and finish.

Final photos are shared before delivery or installation.

WHAT WE MAKE FOR COMMERCIAL SPACES.

Commercial bespoke work may include loose furniture, counters, fixtures, timber elements, and repeated pieces made around the project brief.

For fixed cabinetry, storage, and larger built-in work, please refer to our Cabinetry & Built-Ins service.

QUICK FAQS.

Where possible, yes. Drawings, measurements, references, or 3D files help us review the scope more accurately.

STEP format is preferred where 3D files are required.

Pricing may be reviewed for repeated units or larger quantities, depending on MOQ, material planning, production efficiency, and project timeline.

Most bespoke and custom projects take around 6–8 working weeks after scope confirmation. Larger or more complex commercial projects may require a longer timeline.

We commonly use solid timber such as Melunak and Merbau for commercial bespoke furniture and fixtures. Depending on the project, we may also review surface materials, upholstery, hardware, and finishing options to suit the brief, durability needs, and intended use.
