Skali is a unique furniture collection born from the collaboration between the talented artisans at Kok Art and Craft Co. and visionary architect Mustasha Musa. This partnership was facilitated by the Malaysian Timber Council through the TIMB3R Design Incubator Programme, connecting local designers with furniture manufacturers to create high-quality, Malaysian-made pieces intended for local and international markets. Inspired by the iconic monobloc chair, the Skali collection transforms a universal design into an elegant piece crafted from rich, sustainable Nyatoh timber. Named after the Malay word “Sekali,” meaning “together,” Skali speaks to the soul, inviting us to gather, share, and create lasting memories with those we cherish most. It’s more than just a dining set—it’s a reminder of the joy found in shared moments, a piece destined to become part of the stories we tell and the bonds we build. The Skali Dining Set is available in two colours—Natural (light) and Walnut (dark)—and comes as a 6+1 set, with seating for six and an accompanying table. Crafted from sustainably sourced Nyatoh wood, with meticulous attention to both form and function, making it the ideal centrepiece for any home. This limited-edition dining ensemble showcases Kok Art and Craft Co.’s mastery in timber craftsmanship, honed over four decades, alongside Mustasha Musa’s vision for responsible, small-scale production—honouring the skill of artisans over mass production.
